LTO Consulting & Solutions LLC recently began operating in 2022. The owner, Lance Olson, went to work in manufacturing in 1988. He started on the shop floor and learned every job, from the beginning of the operation to the end. He joined the plant management team within five years and rose to corporate management three years later. The company had previously been poorly managed, lacking corporate leadership and oversight. Escalating product claims and compliance issues in the early 1990's forced the board to terminate the executives and rebuild the organization. The largest issue at the time, resulting in nearly 1 billion dollars cash outflow, was a national class action lawsuit for product performance claims. Lance played a leading role in re-engineering the product. This same product remains to be the financial cornerstone and main growth engine for the company.

 

He served many different roles during his tenure. He did so with loyalty to the company, it's products, and the many people he respected. His experiences and the management practices of those around him taught him many lessons and enabled him to sharpen his unbreakable values and leadership principles.

He can proudly say that he and the company parted ways in far better condition than they found each other. His loyalty is now expanded to the next generation, the future, and the greater good that can come from past lessons learned. He left the company and started this consulting practice so he can enjoy helping others accelerate success and minimize mistakes. In the end, he and this consulting practice will leave the world much better than they found it.
